Helen du Toit

Helen du Toit recently served as Program Director of the Vancouver Film and Television Forum. She has over 15 years experience in independent film and TV production, international festival programming and consulting. Du Toit has programmed for the Toronto and Palm Springs International Film Festivals, held the position of Artistic Director for the Palm Springs International Short Film Festival, has created and hosted panels of international experts and taught Independent Producing for the Canadian Screen Training Centre. As a producer, she has developed original ideas with writers and directors, worked closely with distributors and sales agents and pitched projects at international film financing conferences. Du Toit produced Treed Murray, a Genie award-winning feature film distributed internationally by Alliance Atlantis.

Peter Stebbings

Peter Stebbings has worked in the Canadian film and television industry as an actor for almost a decade. In addition to playing leading roles in the Canadian series Madison and Traders, Peter has recently played the lead role of Marcus Alexander in Showtime's new series Jeremiah. His work has garnered him nominations on three separate occasions for a Gemini and once for a Leo award.

He has had the privilege of working with Canadian film directors Mina Shum, (Drive She Said) Bruce McDonald, (Picture Claire) and Anais Gronofsky (On Their Knees). And he also stars as Gabriel Good, the Limb Salesman in Anais Gronofsky's upcoming feature.

Mayfly is Peter's third screenplay. Both his other screenplays, The Wrestlers, and Elevator have been optioned. Elevator is slated to go to camera in September, with Stebbings as one of 3 directors collaborating on the film.
